Learning from kids..

I recently made this poster for my nephew who's in the 4th standard, for his summer homework.. It re-kindled my love for nature and protecting the environment..

Hacks for Nokia 5800

So my sister was nice enough to decide to go for a new phone and hand me down a Nokia 5800 XM(the one on the right..:P)

Previously I had a Samsung Corby Txt which was pretty good a s a multimedia phone with nice music quality and all. What it lacked was ease of use.. Not for every body but especially for me..

U see owing to my BIG HANDS

And NO NAILS..

It was pretty tough for me to type..
Not anymore though.. I use a stylus(that toothpick like thing that comes with a touchscreen phone which most of you have lost or never owned).. I have managed to take care of it and still own it after 3 months of getting the phone..
So it was a boring Symbian series 60 phone.. with the default interface as shown in the pic above..
From my (very bad) experience with Nokia N72 I knew  downloading themes from www.zedge.net was a very very bad idea.. It corrupts the phone entirely and requires frequent phone updations.
So I went to the (not very) famous www.store.ovi.com.
And found Voyager home, which made my phone look like an apple iPhone an HTC combined look. It was an interface shell which takes over the phone entirely and manages apps its own way.
Here's a small preview of what my phone looked like:-

So for anyone who wishes to download this interface click here..

After using this theme for more than 2 months.. I got bored.

So then i started the search for something to make it look like a google android phone..
I am completely in love with google android and will buy a android based phone asap..
I came accross SPB shell which makes my phone look like:-

So in short SUPER COOL..
I have widgets, short cuts, wallpapers.. everything Oh god everything!!!
Wait.. I'm gonna cry.. sob..
So for all fellow symbian victims, SPB can be found here..
This is a lite version meaning its not a complete thing which I am using..
The complete thing can be found...
On the net.. Go search for it urself.. Freebees.. HUH!!

The teachings and the realisation

When I was born I was given a name,
to help me become unique,
I was told what is my caste, my creed,
given lessons to survive, advice to heed,
as i grew up i saw the world through different coloured glasses,
distinguishing people by their classes,
I was the most important, i was taught,
"What's wrong in that?" I thought,
to help myself first, others can wait,
each of these became a trait,
in order to win the rat race I became selfish and self obsessed,
it was more like I was possessed....

Then came the awakening, the beckoning call,
That I wasn't very unique after all,
That love is what is needed to survive,
to furnish in this world and to strive,
that my caste, my creed is humanity,
and advice to heed was simply humility,
that sharing and caring is most important,
and others have to be helped i can wait,
there is no rat race, I understood,
its just me and my shadow from where I stood,
that love is the colour the glasses should be,
and the last one in my priority should be me..

Satgur ke Shukrane

Mujhe apne darr pe bulaya, tera shukriya,

Deedar ka mauka diya, tera shukriya,
Haathon se khana khilaya, tera shukriya,
Apni god mein sulaya, tera shukriya,
Sat purushon ka sang karaya, tera shukriya,
Asli raah dikhayi, tera shukriya,
Pyara sa alvida kiya, tera shukriya,
agli baar khushi se ane ko kaha, tera shukriya,
ghar tak chhodne aaya, tera shukriya,
Jo tune kiya aur mujhe pata hai, uske liye, tera shukriya,

Jo tune kiya aur mujhe pata bhi nahi, uske liye, aur bhi zyada, tera shukriya....
